Rachel Choi, a dedicated and compassionate registered massage therapist, has passed away, leaving a lasting mark on her patients, colleagues, and community.
A 2018 graduate of Centennial College with an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy, Rachel’s passion for healing began during her time in school, where she completed placements working with both able- and non-able-bodied individuals.
These experiences inspired her lifelong commitment to helping patients achieve their personal health goals. Rachel spent three years practicing in Toronto, building a thriving single-disciplinary clinic focused on deep tissue and myofascial trigger point therapies.
Her skill, dedication, and personal touch allowed her to develop strong relationships with her patients, earning their trust and gratitude. Recently, Rachel moved to Port Elgin, embracing the outdoors and enjoying hiking, biking, and walking her dog—activities that brought her joy and balance outside of her professional life.
She also remained committed to her craft, continuing to expand her knowledge through additional massage therapy courses, while pursuing her personal interests, including gaming.
“Our clinic family is heartbroken over the far too soon loss of our incredible massage therapist, Rachel Choi,” her colleagues said. “Rachel brought warmth, kindness, and an amazing level of care to everyone she met. Her positive spirit, genuine smile, and dedication to helping her patients feel better made a lasting impact on our clinic and our community.”
Rachel Choi’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of care, compassion, and friendship will be remembered by her patients, coworkers, and loved ones for years to come. The clinic closed on March 23 to honor her memory and allow staff to attend her funeral.
